mousesports are through to the grand final at the V4 Future Sports Festival after defeating HellRaisers 2-0 (16-14 on Mirage and 16-13 on Cobblestone).
The second semi-final of the day kicked off on Mirage, with MOUZ turning around a 3v5 situation in their T-side pistol to get off to a great start on their map pick. In the first gun round, Chris "chrisJ" de Jong's men clutched another 3v5, but then HellRaisers responded on a shoddy buy.
HellRaisers followed that up with the next round, and despite losing the subsequent one, they kept pressing on MOUZ and eventually leveled up the score at 5-5. Robin "ropz" Kool and co. responded with back-to-back B executions, but then HellRaisers strung the final three rounds of the half to switch sides with a one-round advantage.
Kirill "ANGE1" Karasiow's team further added to their lead in the second half after the 28-year-old clutched a 1v3 in the pistol. But once MOUZ picked up weapons, however, the landscape of the game changed significantly as they went on an impressive seven-round winning streak to hit 14 rounds.
HellRaisers still replied with a trio of rounds to restore parity at 14-14, but, despite their efforts, MOUZ closed out the map, 16-14, with Martin "STYKO" Styk sealing the deal with a triple-kill.
Cobblestone, HellRaisers' map pick, began with Özgür "woxic" Eker and co. securing their T-side pistol and following that up with an anti-eco. However, after grabbing an AK in the next round, STYKO pulled off a 1v3 clutch to win the first round on the map for his team.
After losing two more rounds, HellRaisers went on a three-round winning streak to secure a 5-3 lead. On a shoddy pistol buy, a saved AWP from Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný proved lethal as the Czech AWPer found three opponents, helping his team to win their fourth round of the game.
Although HellRaisers immediately reset their economy, MOUZ still managed to tie the map at 6-6. Back-to-back triple-kills from woxic gave his team a two round-lead, but a trio of kills from STYKO with a Deagle helped his team to bring the deficit to a minimum by half-time.
In the second half, MOUZ bagged a 10-8 lead after winning their T-side pistol and following it up with two anti-ecos. HellRaisers won the first gun round, and despite getting immediately reset, they quickly got back in it thanks to a strong B stack.
Down 11-12, MOUZ got the lead with two aggressive plays, breaking their opponents' economy and eventually hitting 14 rounds. A double and a triple-kill from Miikka "suNny" Kemppi and oskar, respectively, then put mouz on match-point.
HellRaisers still found a lifeline thanks to a 1v2 clutch from Vladyslav "bondik" Nechyporchuk, but then chrisJ got four kills to his name in a B execution to seal the deal for MOUZ, who will contest the title with Virtus.pro later on Sunday.
